Accessibility statement

Last updated 13 August 2026. We want this usable by a seventy-year-old on a cheap phone and by anyone using a screen reader.

What is in place

• Target WCAG 2.1 Level AA for colour contrast and text sizing.
• Minimum 18px body text, 48px touch targets, and a 76px primary play control.
• Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus ring on every control. Space plays and pauses; left and right arrows change track.
• A skip link to the player, correct landmarks, one H1 per page, and an aria-live announcement whenever the track changes.
• Motion honours the operating system's reduce-motion setting: all animation stops.
• No content requires hover, and no interaction depends on colour alone.

Known limitations

The video player is YouTube's, and its internal accessibility is outside our control. Devanagari screen-reader support varies considerably between systems. Song titles appear in both scripts, which some screen readers will read twice.
