The short version

There is no login, no account and no registration. We do not ask who you are. We do not sell, rent or trade anything about you. Non-essential cookies stay switched off until you switch them on, and you can change that at any time from the banner or this page.

What we process

Always, and unavoidably: your IP address and browser user-agent reach our web server and appear in server logs, as they do for every website. Logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.

Essential storage: a single entry in your browser recording your cookie choice, a random identifier your own browser generates for the live-listener count, and whether you have enabled sound. The listener identifier is not linked to you, is never written to our disk, and is discarded 90 seconds after your last heartbeat.

Analytics, off unless you allow it: Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation, to tell us which stations people listen to.

Advertising, off unless you allow it: Google AdSense and Google Ads, and Meta and LinkedIn pixels when a campaign is running. These may set cookies for measurement and personalisation.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Nothing in the last two categories fires before you consent.

Third parties who receive data

Google LLC (YouTube): playback uses youtube-nocookie.com, Google's privacy-enhanced embed. When a video plays, Google receives your IP address and device information and acts as an independent controller under its own policy. We cannot see or control that data.

Google Fonts: typefaces are served from Google's CDN, which receives your IP address as part of the request.

Where these transfers involve processing outside India or the EEA, they rely on the receiving party's own compliance framework, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Legal basis

For visitors in India, processing is on the basis of consent and legitimate uses under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. For visitors in the EU or UK, essential processing relies on legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, and all analytics and advertising rely on consent under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, completion, updating, erasure or portability of your personal data, withdraw consent at any time, and nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. Write to office@quiamo.com. We respond within 30 days. In practice we hold almost nothing that identifies you, and we will say so plainly rather than pretend otherwise.

If you are unsatisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU or UK.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly process children's data. There is nothing to sign up for. If you believe a child's data has reached us, tell us and we will delete it.

Security and breaches

The site is served over TLS with a strict content security policy. We hold no accounts, passwords or payment details. Any personal data breach will be reported to the relevant authority and to affected persons as required by law.
