Strictly necessary

• valve.consent.v1 — records your cookie choices so we do not ask again. Local storage, persists until cleared.
• valve.sid — a random string your browser generates for the live-listener count. Not linked to you, never stored on our servers, discarded after 90 seconds of inactivity.
• valve.sound — remembers that you enabled sound, so later visits start with audio on.

These cannot be switched off without breaking the site. They do not identify you and are not shared.

Analytics, off by default

• _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymisation. Up to 24 months.

Advertising, off by default

• Google AdSense and Google Ads — ad selection, frequency capping and measurement.
• Meta pixel (_fbp) and LinkedIn Insight (li_sugr, UserMatchHistory) — campaign measurement, set only while a campaign runs.

Set by YouTube, not by us

Playback uses youtube-nocookie.com. Google may still set storage relating to playback and abuse prevention when a video actually plays. That is governed by Google's policies and is outside our control. If you never press play, nothing from YouTube is set.

Turning things off

Use the cookie banner, or clear site data in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies for this site will stop the listener count and the sound preference from working, and nothing else.
